If you like the charm and surreality (magic realism, i dunno) you might also enjoy the directors other works, namely delicatessan, and la cite des enfants perdus.

As with all foreign films DO NOT see the dubbed versions the originals are far superior warning, these last two films are quite a bit darker than amelie, still hilarious and surreal, but definitely darker

rodd who just rid snowy ottawa also, I'm just about to acquire my first vintage bike, a Jean Brun from 1980. All NR, nice lugs with cutouts. I've been told it's made by Cilo of switzerland. Original paint and chrome in good shape. Non original rims, now MA 40's any info greatly appreciated value etc.

Yes! Bike content too! I was absolutely charmed by this film! Superb! I may buy the darned thing on DVD (And I never do that!) This is such a breath of fresh air.. Delightful! (I liked it, could you guess?)
