Hi all I have been wondering lately after looking at quite a few pictures,just when the full compliment of cable guide braze-ons came about.Many frames built in the 70's seem to have everything bar the guides for the rear brake cable brazed on.I notice that e-RICHIE's beautiful 30th anniversary frame has cable clips on the top tube.Why were they seemingly the last to go and when did this happen.Did some builders have strongly held opinions regarding the use of clamp on v's braze on, Geoff, in HOT Melbourne Australia, Duke
