I am in need of a piece of rear der. housing - the stainless steel springy stuff as well as a cable guide to go in a chainstay braze-on. I have tried modern housing but it is too stiff and ends up pulling up at a 45 degree angle from the braze-on, thus causing drag on the cable itself. Maybe the problem is that the only guide I have been able to find is not the right diameter for the braze-on therefore it does not fit snuggly and is pulled upwards with the housing. The insert hole in the braze-on appears to be 5mm. Any suggestions? Anyone have what I need and can spare a piece or two? This is to wire up a 1982 NR RD and is all I have left to do to finish putting this Bob Jackson together 8^)
