Morgan,
When I see your frame , I see a wonderful story; what she's been
through. My 2 cents: wax her up, get some parts, put her together. Be
gentle with the old girl. See if you like the way she rides. If you do,
try to get some of the orig. type stuff, like the cranks. Wait, don't make
decisions(restoration/paint wise) based on whatever or whoever until you
ride her. Enjoy her. Get used to one another. Kind o like a new girl friend.
Remember: once original is lost, its lost. She is very beautiful as is
although you may not quite see that. Yet.
You can always have her repainted. But you loose the obvious story.
And now you have pics to guide you. Be patient. Enjoy thinking about this
stuff. That's the real secret to this hobby. IMHO.
