Subject: [CR]FS: tourist brake levers from Westminster...

A number of CR folks showed up at Westminster this year. Wayne Bingham, Larry Osborne, Ken and Ben Sanborn, Pete Guerds, Roy Drinkwater, and Steven Maasland, to name a few. It was really neat to put faces to names and get to chat about things.

No one bragged on extraordinary "discoveries," and the action seemed pretty light, but with solid crowds for mountain bikes... I picked up one item to pass along to others, for the usual modest handling fee.

$7 postpaid US - Weinmann tourist levers, average condition, some rust on bands, but with nice ferrules. Pretty rare by now.

From what I saw, Roy D. and Wayne B. had some really nice items, just to get you hyped for the Cirque.

For me, the neatest "find" was a modest one - a complete PowerCam from the late 1970s (I think). This was a peculiar arrangement, which used a strange right bb cup with external cam lobes. A roller coupled to the crank follows this cam. Winds up giving a higher gear, which is just what this 58 year old needs (in his dreams)... Maybe on a recumbent.
