Friends - I've just obtained the slides I took of my tour in England in Sept 1982 from fellow traveler Keith Martin, and scanned some of them in to my computer, and uploaded some onto my Yahoo albums. These are pics of my visits to Jack Taylor Cycles in Stockton-on-tees, and Hetchins Bike Shop in Southend-on-sea. The Taylor pics show the three brothers, a bunch of their bikes, tandems trailers, and one tricycle frame, plus Jack putting on varnish-fixing transfers, Norman with a jigged-up curved tube, and one with Norman just arrived on his fixed-gear commuter, much like the fixed gear Paramount I currently commute on. The Hetchins pics show inside and outside the shop, upstairs, Alf, frames, and bikes. There are a few shots of a young me and Keith in there too.
