[CR]Roval wheelset production dates?

Folks:

Because it is so much easier to buy a lighter wheelset than to lose the holiday-induced weight gain, I have purchased a set of Roval wheels:

I checked the CR list archive and found only sparse information on Rovals. How ephemeral was Roval and can someone indicate approximately when they were produced. I noted that Hilary once offered a set of '80's TT Rovals to the list and one other correspondent thought that they may have been produced as early as the '70's. Anyone have some more specific information to help me decide which bike gets a new pair of shoes?
