Dear members:

I have gone on record earlier as being in favor of "outing" eBay auctions on the CR list as I believe it brings those items to all of our attentions for education, discussion and possible acquisition.

Sellers of course are very much in favor as it allows the broadest possible audience and the best price, which is supposedly the purpose of eBay.

The only complaints seem to come from potential buyers who desire to "discover" items on their own and are then chagrined when others do too... This seems to be a bit unrealistic on their part, as the most dedicated & serious buyers certainly will find these items and will be there to battle it out in the final snipe. In any case I believe it's greedy and self focussed to expect others to be blind folded by a mandated silence about pending auctions.

Therefore I hereby unequivocally state that this is not only permissible but desirable here on the CR list. Folks who do not like that happening are out of luck. People who privately e-mail CR members and harass them for "outing" stuff are risking their good standing. Note, I didn't say "kicked off", but who knows? :)

Any questions? (Raise your hands.. one at at a time please..)
