[CR]Colnago/Eddy Merckx collboration?

Hi all,

I own an orange Colnago track bike that has an Eddy Merckx downtube sticker. Does anyone know the history of this collaboration? I have a friend who remembers selling these in both road/track configurations at a local shop (Boulder Spoke) back in the early 80's so I know it's not mislabeled and not particularly rare. I'd just like to hear any history if it's out there. I'm aware that Eddy rode De Rosa and Colnago frames during his career, but I'm surprised that they would cross label a bike after Eddy went into the bike business himself. An hour record commemoration perhaps? Shouldn't that have been a Windsor?
