I could not agree more with Patrick. C-Record is great looking and Delta, while not very effective at *stopping* they are also interesting. Dale says someday the C-Record will be in the CR timing, personally, I can't wait!

The C-Record cranks are highly desirable and many individuals consider these cranks to be one of Campy's most elegant designs. And C-Record Delta brakesets are certainly getting a healthy number of bids on Ebay.

Personally, I wish the C-Record era fell within the current CR umbrella. I have a lovely 1985 Bob Jackson 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee frameset w/chrome Nervex lugs and chrome rear triangle that I am seriously thinking of building w/C-Record, but I would love some detailed info on the early variations within the C-Record group. There were, what, four generations of the rear derailleur? And the first Deltas were pulled off the market and Cobaltos took their place temporarily? Then when did the 2nd generation Deltas come out. See what I mean?

C-Record bikes seem to be in the zone of neither junker nor collectible--yet. The boat-anchor brakes (Deltas) might not help either; I call this the Campy "GNS" (getta no respeck') group.

I just noted a very clean Masi with apparently very clean C Record components that didn't make $600 on E-Bay. It seems to me like just last year one could have bought the bike, parted it out and offered the frame for that. The last 3 Renee Herse and the last four Eisentraut bikes haven't made their reserves as far as I can see. An Apparently very clean Frejus just went for a hair over $400. A McLean for $600. I am wondering, will we see these prices come back up in the meaningful future, or are we really the last of a vanishing breed of bike fans? Maybe there's no one really here but us? I am feeling a bit like a stranger in a strange land. Where do the other list members see this going?
