Steve Birmingham has a nice idea, and I'm jealous of the concept, execution, and space to display. He wrote:

"I made a couple of these to hold my collection, I havent decided wether I like the vertical one or the one with the post tilted like a seat tube. I'd welcome some opinions. The picture is at http://www.mindspring.com/~sblackstone/stands.jpg

I plan on making some to sell as well, $5 each unfinished as you see them. Since I make them myself, I can do custom ones as well. I'll also swap for parts."

My approach has been much cruder. I took an old seat tube, and drilled a hole crosswise at the top. That way, I can hang it on the pegboard. Right now there are 10 front derailleurs on it. Piece of conduit serves the same function for a stack of brake levers. Gets 'em out of the way, they don't get scraped up, are easy to look at, but it is a beast to pull off the one in the middle of the stack of levers!

your mileage may vary.
