Thomas,

I'm not quite certain what you mean exactly. Is there a fountain somewhere that spews Hetchins' headbadges that I don't know about? Clue me in, brother! I have in my possession only one spare Hetchins headbadge. It is one of the stainless steel ones cast by Art Stump. It is still raw and unpolished and unpainted. I'm hanging on to it for myself, in the event I should need it. Same with the one spare Cinelli badge I have.

I've never seen the brass version in the flesh (OK, brass) but I have now seen the picture of it. Looks like the same badge but cast in brass and not painted. Were the "originals" painted by chance or were they all brass? Dones anyone know the distance between the rivit holes. My AS badge is 2 1/4" c-c on the holes. It appears as if the brass one could possibly be a bit longer.

I hope no one thinks I have a barrell full of Hetchins' badges just floating around. If I did I would be doing something useful with them; like making refriderator magnets, bolo tie clasps, or "Texas style" belt buckles and hat orniments to sell on eBay. In LA, I could sell those bad boys as earrings or retrofit them to adourn the radiator grill of your Bentley! So many uses, so little time!

Anyway, as usual, I'm clueless. What exactly are you asking??

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA I wish I had a GOOSE that laid golden headbadges! Poor goose!
