I have a pair of wheels that came on my '72 Manufrance Championnat (a Peugeot PR10L competitor, 531 main frame, Simplex dropouts, 49D cranks, Lyotard pedals, Simplex Criterium gears, etc) and they have EXCELTOO (all caps like that) Super Competition model hubs. French threaded rear and have Pelissier flat (sp?) skewers. Interestingly laced to what seems to be really early original Ambrosio 19 Extra clincher rims.

They seem alright, perhaps a tad better than the basic Normandy hubs that abound, but not a lot. Takes a lot to polish them up.

EXCELTOO it seems to me is not the same as the later Italian Excel brand. At least I don't think they're related.
