Modern pedals should be off topic for the most part. Of course as our time period moves up we get into the early clipless pedals, right?

I myself own no clipless pedals. Never thought it was necessary, I'm not a racer, was too cheap, seen too many fellow club members topple over at stop signs, etc, etc. I think they look as out of place on an older bike as colored tires and split seats.
