    I mention this because, around 1981, a bought 2 sets of Lyotard platform pedals for my tandem which had BSC threaded TA cranksets. The pedals were a _very_ loose fit; so loose that I elected not to use them. Perhaps they were already using this "trick" that TA is currently employing.
