Bad experience tells me that you can simply buff off the anodizing with a more abrasive compound applied to the wheel. It is probably more trouble than the dissolving method? Maybe the newer Campy parts have weak anodizing, but I once tried to buff out a scratch, and the anodizing came with it. Don't laugh, it was during my formative years.
