Wow, that's some thick paint. Sounds like the punchline of a Dilbert cartoon.

Reminds me of my one Miyata story. Bought a very nice one at a garage sale many years ago, don't remember the model. It had quirky but excellent parts on it that I knew weren't original; made me think a bikie had probably built it up that way. The guy I bought it from was a retired college professor.

Describing it to my current boss years later, it turns out it was his, and it was stolen! He accurately remembered details about it I hadn't told him. He, like me, was in the bike business before switching to the IT business and had built it while he was a shop rat. Advice: if you deal in stolen bikes, try to avoid talking to your boss about it! Luckily for me, this boss disappeared in a freak frame painting accident before he could press charges. OK, up to that last line is true, honest.
