Ah now... this is an interesting problem. "Saving an original by getting a copy for every day use."

My friend recently found a bike that was for all intents identical to the one he raced on and lost track of in his youth. He was ecstatic! Then he decided it was too nice to ride, so now he is looking for a second one to ride so he can save the first. Hmmmm...

Kind of reminds me of the housewife who covers the new sofa with a sheet so it doesn't get "ruined". Years and years and years later... well, it never got used, the family never got to enjoy the new sofa. (I bet the second owner uses the sofa :)

I guess using the bike daily almost by definition means you limit yourself to owning one or maybe two bikes :(
