Bill -

You should probably contact Mel Pinto for the information you seek:

MEL PINTO IMPORTS 2860 Annandale Road Falls Church, VA 22042 USA tel: 703.237.4686

The "Pinto" tandem was most likely of French manufacture, and imported and badged as a Pinto by Mel (although I believe he did have some tandems contract built specifically for import). I once had an early 70's Pinto that was really a Urago under the decals. The warehouse in Falls Church and the Pro Shop in Georgetown are still active and Mel is still at the warehouse most days. Mel will most certainly have the answers, and quite possibly the parts, you need.

Good luck with your project.
