Paul: I'll got a late 1940 Hobbs Barbicon and possibly pictures of Hoobs of the period from ad copy. If I can find the ad copy I'll look to see similarities in lug work, and also compare to mine, but I'm not sure if the lug design changed from late 40 to mid 50s. Peter Naiman Boston, Mass
