Subject: [CR]RE: Campy Bottom Bracket

How about some advice on adjusting Campy bottom brackets. I have a very-low-mileage Italian bottom bracket on my Medici, and I cleaned it and lubed it over the weekend. No pitting, no damage, no use hardly. I tightened up the fixed cup, filled everything with Park blue lube, took all the side-to-side right-side-to-left-side slack out of the assembly with the adjustable cup, but I still have a slight amount of up-and-down 'knock' if I pull up and push down on the spindle ends. I don't want to tighten it up so far that I compress the bearings too much, yet I wonder about the 'knock'. What is the proper technique? thanks.
