Ordinarily, when the knock is adjusted out, it's perfect. Adjust, then spin the axle slowly by hand. If you feel it getting tight-loose-tight, or anything that feels other than silky smooth, change out the balls, they are no longer round. The other think to keep in mind, is your frame may not be properly chased and faced.
