For all of you who are still in the grips of Winter - I apologize in advance for this post.

Was it NICE yesterday in Atlanta. When I checked the outside thermometer at 9:30 am it said 70. Flowering trees are blooming, the sky was blue and smog free, the miniature wood peckers at the boyfriend's house are making a hole in the dead tree for a nest.

Yesterday I went for a wonderful, long ride on the Trek (insert CR content here - it's an '82) and discovered several things:

3 months of inconsistent riding has not entirely crippled me and I should get back to my pre-Thanksgiving level soon. Any weight the bike "looses" though, will be entirely from it's rider.

The Trek, even though it is stiff and wonderful (helps that it is tiny), still has a loooooong wheelbase.

Don't trust Schwinn branded tubes. I'm not sure where that tube came from, but it was split when I took it out of my seat bag. Thankfully the boyfriend retains his brevet sensibilities and carries extras.
