The french threaded fixed cup on the Campagnolo Donor Bicycle (a Vitus, equipped far beyond it's worth) was actually RED LOCK-TIGHTED into place. A lot of red locktight. It came out in crumbles like it was most of the tube.
I'm not sure of the name of the campy tool that we used, but it threaded on the inside, after removing axle, plastic sleeves and bearings.
Worked well too.
