Grant hasn't mentioned it but you might also want to go to his place of employ: Sporting Life on Yonge Street south of Lawrence (that is the nearest subway station). With American dollars, you can walk away with some great deals on modern things (there are two Sporting life stores: one huge general sporting goods one on the east side of the street and then Grant's one on the west side of the street one block further south with bikes when in season.) Sporting Life is a Toronto institution, offering top brands at comparatively interesting prices. Unfortunately, I don't think you will find much vintage stuff.
