Concerning some of Marc Boral's questions about the Pogliaghi on ebay.
There were actually a couple of different models of Pogliaghi road frames in the 70s. I don't know exactly how many, or what the names were, or how they were different, geometry- or tube-wise, but there were different models. Seller states it's a "Giro d'Italia" model, one I've never seen in the flesh..
Different lug-cut-outs may have gone with different frame models...I've seen at least 4 different cut-out styles on 70s Pogliaghis and there may have been more than that. I'm going to make an educated guess that the shop used whatever was handy at the time, or whatever was special-ordered by a shop for stock, or by customers.
A couple of people who know more than I do have said unambiguously that Campagnolo made new products available sometimes years before the introduction of said products in the catalogs or at trade-shows, so the drop-out thing is easy to account for. Certainly a famous maker like Pogliaghi would have had access to new parts long before the rest of the market did...
The overall style of the frame, and the *27 Victory* headbadge, make 1975 a plausible year of manufacture. Be nice to know the serial number though.
