This is exactly the point Brian Baylis made at Cirque two years ago where he demonstrated how the miter and not the lug is what determines frame joint strength and alignment over time. And, it continues to be the reason why framebuilding is more than just a pretty paint job. I know that some people have talked about how this isn't rocket science (and I am in the rocket science business), but I'm still in awe of how you builders do this.
