Tom- From what I read below, I'd say you've earned the rite to get your mojo going in Greensboro! Nice to see your M' lugs are "standing proud."- JS, S.P. WI "Thomas R. As added incentive, if you attend, you may be able to see me put the first scratch on my newly refininshed Marinoni, which has just been completed. (Great timing, Dale. And this assumes I can get her built up in time.) After 21 years and a few tens of thousands of miles, she somehow got all scratched up and tired looking. Don't know how these things happen. So off she went for a manicure and new 'do.

Dale graciously put a few pics of my baby on his site. Go to:

and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Listee Rob Hawks has spent probably a few thousand miles with me when I was riding this bike, but his memory of her will be faint because I was usually behind him sitting on the wheel of his '82 Trek.

Mojo, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, but to me this bike is the King Snake. Simple lugs, nicely finished but not overly thinned, minimal chrome, restrained paint, and a bunch of fond memories. It's ridden 4 Dalmacs, a couple dozen centuries, a few self supported camping tours, over the mountains in Vermont, all over Michigan, TOSRV, up and down the Platte River Valley in Missouri and graduation to respected elder status with the Kansas City Vintage Cycling club. Now to get busy on her next 20 years.

See you this weekend, world situation and Uncle Sam permitting.
