It recalls the response to Grant Peterson's trial balloon on the CR list regarding the potential resurrection of the Libertas name for the frame that eventually was named after a breed of sheep, the Rambouillet. While most respondents thought that Libertas was a perfectly nice name, the stigma associated with the rather large number of gaspipe bikes relative to pro quality bikes that Libertas made was too great.

I suppose Free Spirit is out of the question also...

Nonetheless, the new Lambert is full 531, lugged construction with "Lambert "Window" MKll" lugs no less and is available in 1 cm increments.
