About two years ago I was in American Cyclery in San Franciscso. They have a wonderful collection of classic bikes for sale at prices appropriate for .com-millionaires. In addition, they had a bright red Scarfacci proudly on display behind the cash register. Until then, I wasn't sure if Scarfacci was real or a hoax. But if it's a hoax, it's an elaborate one and expensive to boot. And less fun than the 4-passenger, six-wheel bi-directional contraption on German eBay some weeks back. --- David Faulkner
