I picked up another piece of mystery flotsam at Ye Old bike shop today. An NOS alloy shorty chainguard with typical L JUY, Simplex, BTE, SGDG on it. Only one mounting tab at the seat tube position. It looks like it goes on a "town" bike. I just thought it was an unusual item for a component manufacturer. The frame makers would have to make the appropriate braze-on for the tab, yes? Anyone seen one?
