I have three PX-10s (73, 74 & ~76?) and all have Stronglight cranks marked 14 X 125 mm - but I had the 73 tapped out for Phil Wood (English thread) pedals when I bought it and the 76 that I got secondhand was apparently tapped out also (even though it had Lyotard pedals so who can guess?) because my Phil Wood pedals fit it just fine, but they won't fit the 74 Peugeot, so the markings are certainly not a "fool proof" method either. I would suspect that you have the French threads because when I try to put my English threaded pedals into my French threaded cranks they go in a few turns and then stop just as you have noted. Unfortunately, I also have Lyotards with no such markings, which makes identification difficult. Most Stronglights 93's I've seen do indeed have the thread stamped on the back of the arms.
