great article!

Only one mistake:

Did Fausto Coppi's clothing have style? Heck Yes!

IMHO, today there is not a pro team clothing kit worth wearing. Yes, today's fabric is great, but the style is too NASCAR for me.

Hi Grant,

Coming from Nascar country I suspect cycling bill boards jersey's preceded Nascar by a good bit. Good bud Ken Wallace told me Lowes Motor Speedway (near Charlotte, NC) owner (former owner?) Humpy Wheeler is a classic cycling enthusiast (Has several hand builts).

He may have gotten the idea from bike races he hosted on the infield of the big oval years gone by.
