Jevelot was a sales rep for Bicycle Parts Pacific, the importer/distributor of Galli, and was also a distributor of Stronglight for many years so I think I may have the real story.

The "Stronglight/Galli" headset was different from the Stronglight A9 in that it used an "upside down" top head race assembly while the Stronglight A9 always used a "conventional" head race assembly. This upside down design later appeared in the Stronglight product lineup as, I believe, the A12.
