Subject: [CR]Strawberry and DeNucci Info

I know that Chris Kvale sold Strawberrys (Strawberries?) from about 1973 through 1978, so I asked him what he remembers. Here's some of his comments:

"I met Mark DeNucci at the Nationals in '73, or '74 and I noticed that he did very well on a bike of his own making. This was pretty unusual, and it stuck with me. "

"I started selling Strawberrys when I worked at Nortrek Sports from about 1973 to 1975. After that, I sold Strawberrys out of my basement in '76, '77 and '78. When I went down to visit Andy Newland in about 1978, Mark Denucci was building frames there as an employee. There was also a guy named Bob Bladel building for Andy there."

"Strawberry got a patent on that wishbone design."

"After his stint with Strawberry, DeNucci went to Specialized where he designed the Allez. This was mentioned in some of the Specialized marketing material."
