In reply to Daniel Wood's use on chrome foil repairs. I too purchased a roll on chrome foil tape from an outlet of LiDL and found it to be extremely effective for some repairs to my cycle accessories. For example my chrome Holdsworth saddle bag support was in need of attention and was going to be costly to be done profressionally so I covered it with the chrome tape. This tape has a very strong adhesive backing and once pressed on is near impossible to remove .The result being that anyone who has seen it have never realised it is'nt the real thing and it still remains perfect after two years. I have used this method many times since and find it a very satisfying way of making finished job!
