Huffy Spectra, dated late 70s 21" center to top, Ashtabula cranks, 10 speed. Original Huffy red paint and decals, but the black foam grip material is held on by duct tape in a few places. I'm not sure what the frame material is, but it is sturdy. I suspect the chain and seat stays may be representative of the lost art of "solid manufacturing" - they may not be hollow tubes at all and could even be rebar that has been finished not to show the ribs. Brakes are in original condition, they stop you uphill, complete with original suicide levers. Rims are solid steel chrome, 27". Controls are friction, located on the stem. Derailleur does change in the rear, but the front seems to be frozen. A few spokes missing here and there, but the wheels are pretty much round. You'll have to replace the saddle though, the metal beneath the vinyl cover has started to rust. As surviving members of this particular model are indeed rare, especially the "turned up bar" design (to allow a more relaxed upright riding position) I'm afraid I can offer it for no less then 241.57 - buyer pays shipping.

Original Ross Tourer (no model decal) dated early 80s Its maroon, its heavy which allows for the potential for great momentum in the downhills. a 12 speed, this one featuring a swedged crank design, steel bars, functional centerpull brakes and a AM radio bungie corded under the top tube, the Ross is made for speed. Original aluminum rims, blackwall tires with schrader valves, wheel reflectors and sorry to say, a new Avenir gel seat, instead of whatever came on it. Shifters are missing entirely and the derailleur are hanging by the cables. I'll let this one go for 169.85 - buyer pays shipping.

**************************** These are actual bicycles in our shop for repairs. We are taking bets as to when they become abandoned repairs and when we sell them for the cost of the parts, out front. If you really want 'em just say so, and I'll lovingly package either one and ship it to you... I think that they qualify as classic, and certainly era all the way, but not necessarily light weight.
