I've been asked about the possiblity of repairing/replacing the bottom bracket shell on a late 70's Bianchi. I haven't seen the frame, just got an e-mail from a friend. Reportedly there is a 1 1/2 inch hairline crack across the bottom of the BB shell. So all you framebuilders/repairers can he have it done or is the bike toast?
