Subject: [CR]Special: about the Cirque du Cyclisme on (mostly) May 4th...

The ride distances for Sunday's big ride are guaranteed to be accurate and food will be there for each and every finisher! Please note the entry fee is half that of last year! But that means we must have a good turn out to support the event!

I urge those intending to have selling or displaying space to go ahead and send in their entries. The Greensboro Velo Club committee (not me!) in charge of assignments is doing that work methodically on a first come- first serve basis. This is strictly business and a "hold that for me" without funds for same doesn't cut mustard. The building space will sell out entirely this year and those who delay may be out.

If you have never attended a Cirque, I should mention that the swap meet and show is held entirely indoors. There is a large gymnasium which the center is devoted to the bike show, and 4 additional rooms for swap meet vendors. Spaces are rented. Bring your own tables. A limited number of tables have been also available to use in the spaces you rent, but these are virtually all already spoken for.

So how do you secure a space? Zimple....

Print out the acrobat brochure exterior, here: http://www.classicrendezvous.com./Events/Cirque/Cirque_03/Brochure_03.htm

or an entry form, here:

tm

and send it along, all filled out, with check or money order, etc. Address is on the form or to below with a large "Cirque" on the outside of the envelope...

Also please note, paid entry in the Sunday ride or renting a vendor space INCLUDES free entry into show/swap meet (That was not clear on form, I guess) The event owes a few folks money back because of that!

At this point I will mention just for the record, (because of some comments I have heard) that neither cycles de ORO nor myself benefit at all financially from this event. IF there is a surplus in funds (right now the budget projects a deficit) it goes to the Greensboro Velo Club Community Sports fund. CDO and myself personally are financial sponsors, plus the volunteerism involved. Just thought you oughta know...

This will be the biggest and bestest Cirque yet and I am excited to see and chat and visit with you all. It is not written in stone that this event will repeat every year and s__t happens, so don't miss it. If you are on the fence about coming, DO IT or you will be kicking yourself later!

Cheers Dale
