Any chance the Zeus single bolt seatpost preceded the Campagnolo SR single bolt model? Charlie

Charlie:

The Zeus Criterium 1-bolt post appeared in ads in Bicycling! in 1977, and the Campy SR 1-bolt post was announced as available to the public by Bikecology in Spring 1978.

I think it's a dead heat.

Anybody know what the first mass-produced 1-bolt post was? Was it the French Laprade?

By the way, of those 3 posts, the Zeus is the heaviest, the French Laprade is in the middle, and the Campy SR is the lightest (I weigh stuff at the Palo Alto post office on Cambridge street, they have a nice sensitive digital scale).

THIS JUST IN: GLASS IS NOW IN SESSION! The spring/summer "throw a bottle out of your car window" season cranked up bigtime around here about a week ago. Is that why they call it Spring "Break"?
