Subject: [CR]trying to identify a front campagnolo derailleur

hello all,

i have a 1983 bianchi campione d'italia. bought it as a "last year's model" in 1984 while still in high school, a budget racer he called it.

somewhere i have the multi-paged brochure but for now and all practical purposes, it's lost. if i remember correctly, it came with what was labeled in the brochure as a campagnolo gran sport front derailleur (with NR as a rear) but it's nothing like the gran sports i've seen on the internet. the ones i've seen look quite... archaic.

the two recent postings of masis for sale prompted me to ask for help since they both look identical to what i have as a clamp-on model.

http://ebay.com/<blah>

and

http://ebay.com/<blah>

the model has a flat highly chromed outer cage without holes, with a bit of a lip at the front and all silver colored clamp. the only identifying labels on it are "brev. campagnolo" on the inside of the inner cage and "SC" on the small arm next to the cable clamp. can anybody confirm the model of this derailleur? sorry, i've begun riding my bike to work so i leave my cameras at the office and so cannot provide an actual example. thanks.

eric fresno, ca.

ps... i LOVE my bike.
