The "main" track in Ghent is the Citadel Park. I believe that ownership of the building changed hands in 2001, it went from being city owned to private operation. The building needs investment and the new owners planned / wanted to take the track out so they could host other events in there. They promised to have a portable track available for the six day. When it comes to promises about providing tracks, I never believe them. Scotland has been promised an indoor track for years. There was a portable track being used in a building at Ingleston, near Edinburgh at one time ( 60s / 70s). Wales is allegedly getting an indoor track, but I would not believe until it is built!
