Subject: [CR]Classic Campagnolo grease and others....

Hi all, I use grease just about every day in my day job. Greases have evolved quite a bit over the years. You really need to know what you intend to use the product for and buy the right grease to do the job. I have seen funny money prices on little pots of grease in bike shops, and at the end of the day they are not making the product, some big oil company is, and packaging it for them. I know SKF make a great range of greases in a big plastic tube like toothpaste, not a bad price either. As I said before depends on what you do with it, headset, BB or hubs, and modern greases are way better in that they don't seperate like the old products. For hubs I tend to use grease from work, for headsets I use Campagnolo anti rust grease, the thick cream coloured stuff, that I am running out of, I also use the hub grease on BB's, they are all rotating, headsets are not a spinning item, hope this helps some of you out there.........regards wayne davidson Invercargill NZ......
