Thanks Dennis for bringing this bike to our attention.

That bike is likely not that old... More like 10 years newer in my opinion.. but a couple of things caught my attention..

First is that it has a one piece head tube/lugs, i.e., that "lug seam" you see delineated by the red paint on the head tube is in fact a molded-in ridge to simulate a seam. Also no tubing decal leads one to believe this was a middling model....

Secondly (and more positively) is the color scheme... I wonder if some fading or degradation has taken place.. I would guess not much as the bike appears in great shape.. but in any case, that champagne main frame color combined with the more gray tinted nearly-the-same color on the band, etc., really are the cat's meow to my eye. Very classy and elegant...

As we here at CDO get involved with paint jobs and after looking at so many bikes, I constantly think about color combinations and bands & head tube vs main colors... The range of possibilities seem unlimited, but in the end, the tasty, subdued color combos really seem to be the most sublime. For instance, back in the late 1970s and early 80s, I recall Richie Sachs having some really interesting color schemes. The Toga Team two-green and the red into reddish-copper of poor Mike Richardson's Bike come to mind...
