I've used JB weld two part metal epoxy with great success in repairing cracked and broken Simplex derailleurs. Again the the parts must be nice and clean to achieve a good bond. But once the JB weld is dry it can be sanded and shaped to conform to the original lines of the derailleur. Another plus it drys to grey-black color that almost matches the faded out black color of the old plastic. JB weld works great in this application, the epoxy provides a good bond between the parts and the metal particles provide strength. Thanks,Kris Koller Martinez, CA "Roy H. Checking The Dancing Chain, those were made out of Delrin® (acetal resin). Searching Google for "delrin adhesive" came up with this link which is a good explanation/guide for repair. (scroll to middle of page) You might want to check some other links for suitable adhesives.
