Subject: [CR]Bits needed for my Hetchins

Well, as I grow closer to collecting the remaining bits to build my 60's-something Magnum Bonum, I thought I'd post a couple of "wanted key items" that CR readers may be able to supply. Here's what I still would like/need:

1) Cinelli Steel Campione del Mondo handlebars (to go with my cinelli steel quill stem) I'm a big guy, did these come in wider widths?

2) I'd like an early <c> campi headset, english threads of course

3) I'd also like one of the old simplex seatposts, the one where the mounts can be rotated around to set the saddle a little lower than "usual"----or am I just imagining something? I always used campi seatpins but the steel one is too early for my bike and would prefer the simplex for appearance sake. Barring that, advice?

4) I am still looking for the three-color script for the downtube, anyone with one on your bike that is willing to share fotos, or with an old one in your collection I can have scanned, would REALLY help, as I want to have both downtube scripts and the red diamond for the seattube before polish and transfers and clearcoat.

Now for the advice column, I will probably need some expert tech opinion (no shortage here on CR I know!) I will be running a 180mm early TA double, half-stepped, ANYone wanna help me figure out the proper length spindle to use in my bottom bracket? (I know this sounds REALLY dumb)

Gran Sport front derailleur, years ago my old aquila had one, but the cage wasn't chrome, it was black oxide. Was this Gran Sport or something else?

Good source for a nice saddle thats period-correct, "honey"?

Anyways, I appreciate the correspondents so far, and hope for droves of collectors to contact me with bits that they just CANNOT feel good about selling on e-bay for mucho bucks and would like to see my Hetchins on the road, and on Flash's and Dale's web sites
