Thanks to a book loaned to me by Scott "my Masi is older than yours" Davis, names like Watanabe, River One, Yazima, Hirose, Katakura Silk and Toei are worth investigating if you're into French influenced replicas. I'm sure there are plenty of other notables unknown to this ignorant American.
