Subject: [CR]DC Area Vintage Ride POSTPONED

Due to the weather forecast for this Saturday, which calls for continuing rain, I'm reluctantly going to postpone the Pre-Cirque ride/gathering scheduled for that day. A few folks had expressed interest in traveling some distance to attend, for which I'm very appreciative, but I'd hate for them to have to take the chance of a total washout.

HOWEVER, since I now plan to spend the better part of the day in my shop prepping for the Cirque, and have already stocked up on liquid refreshment, I'm offering an open invitation to any local CR members who might now have a big hole in their social calendar, who don't want to trash their Cirque-ready bikes in a downpour, but might want to get together just to swap lies and stories, to stop by for a bit of an "Open House" and "Pre-Cirque Pep Rally". I'll set the time at 2:00 PM. We might not be able to use the deck, but my basement is pretty big, and it's overflowing with cool bikes at the moment. Anyone who is interested is welcome to stop-by and hang-out for a while. And who knows. If the weather should clear in the afternoon, we might still be able to slip out for a quick ride anyway.

And fear not. The original gathering will be rescheduled sometime after the Cirque.

If anyone needs directions, just let me know.

Ciao -
