Subject: [CR]Mystery track frame and an introduction

Hello,

I need some help I.D.'ing a frame. I finaly got some photos online of a presumably 70's-80's italian lugged track bike I found in the trash in oakland 3 years back. The story is on the webpage for those who are interested. It has some neat lugs that I have not seen before, but my knowledge is less than encyclopedic. http://www.engr.utk.edu/~tsaleh/trash.html

And a brief introduction as I think this is my first post to the CR list.

My name is Tarik Saleh, I live in Knoxville TN and am a grad student in materials science.

I have previously worked in the bike industry on and off, mostly at Kelly bikes in Oakland. Kelly does (or did) lots of repair of lugged steel stuff, so i have seen a fairbit of naked 70's lightweight stuff, I like lugs, even though Kelly mostly Tigs and fillits. I am a hack (at best) with the torch, though.

I recognize most of the people on the list from the BOB or framebuilding lists which I am very and kindof active on, respectively. I ride my bikes incessantly and race a fair bit of cyclocross and single speed MTB races. I noodle around alot on my road and track bikes club rides, solorides, and all sorts of commuting and shopping.

I have 14 or so bikes, the only ones that really fit the CR list period and style are my '74 Raleigh Competition http://www.engr.utk.edu/~tsaleh/beakham.html and and to a lesser extent my track bike which was made in the 90's with 70's lugs http://web.utk.edu/~tsaleh/comp.html Many of my other bikes are online here: http://www.engr.utk.edu/~tsaleh/bike.html

Anyhow, I hope mostly to continue lurking, but I am most likely going to make my way over to the cirque this year and thought I would introduce myself beforehand. If I make it I will probably wear an army green KELLY bike T-shirt. So say hi...

Thanks for any help on the bike ID.

Tarik
