To all of you who were attendants at Cirque this year - and of course the amazing Dale Brown who managed to smoothly run a multifaceted event and not loose his cool (or sit down) at any point during the entire weekend, THANK YOU!

Wow. That was something. I've never seen so many unique representations of cycling evolution in one place. Those wonderful 6 day bikes with their wooden wheels all the way to recently built stuff from all the keepers of the flame, and everything in between. I kept having to step away and come back to look again - I just could not absorb all those bicycles at once.

Of course, it was a blast getting to meet all the wonderful people who own these bicycles and sharing and our unique brand of insanity. It was so much fun putting faces to names. I'm really bummed I missed the battery powered bicycle racing game in the lobby of the Battleground Inn. I really hope someone took pictures of that.

Dale lined up some pretty amazing presenters too. I missed Alan Bernstein's presentation, due to poor logistics on my part, but really enjoyed each and every topic and presenter. I'd like to find out more about the history of 6 day races (hint, hint, are there any books in print on the topic?) and getting to listen to Chris Kvale explain the science behind ride in common english was pretty impressive.

The rides were awfully nice too. Since I usually end up working at least one day on the weekend, getting to ride both Saturday and Sunday was great fun. The courses were planned well and the weather was wonderfully cooperative. Kudos to Mary on Saturday for doing a good job keeping a big group together.

You are all a great bunch of people. I'm looking forward to coming again next year!
